I have now been in Blaby for about four years and am enjoying being part of the community here. I moved from Peterborough where I had been part of a church, preaching, taking family services and assemblies in school and supporting a number of charities following my retirement as head of a primary school.. I became a Christian in 1989 and since then have become more and more passionate about the gospel of Jesus Christ, longing for people to come to know Him. I have particularly become involved in the healing ministry being part of the New Wine ministry team and healing in the streets project. My hobbies include gardening, tennis (spectating only now) and birdwatching. I also enjoy travelling, especially abroad. My family - stepdaughter, son-in-law and three grandchildren - live in York and make regular visits to see me. I never cease to be amazed by God's love and the blessings he pours out as Blaby Baptist Church continues to grow. The growth we have seen over the past two years has been beyond any expectation. With additions to our Pastoral Team, Bible Study and our own Worship Group, Flame, we are able to enjoy both traditional and modern styles of worship. I would personally like to extend a warm welcome for you to join with us and share worship at one of our services.
